Fish have been very active and can be seen jumping at the surface throughout the day, but anglers are having difficulty catching them. Most are fishing from the piers, all along the east shore or near the inlet on the north side with worms or other stink baits. Elliott Robinson of Ogden caught a nice 14-inch largemouth bass from the shore near the inlet using a spinner. Trout stocking should resume in the middle of September.
