Water Temperature: 78???80??
Water Level: High and steady
Bass action was fair this week. The bass are moving around early in the day all along the shoreline and in the coves. Look for the early morning and late evening bites on the shad schools in most of the cove areas. Fish to 6 pounds have been caught and released this week.
The last stock of the season was Friday, August 31. The bite has been very good this week. Mackerel and anchovies are working best. There are good numbers of fish being taken out at the Buoy Line or in the middle of the lake. The fish were biting well during the daylight hours. The summer nights have come and gone, but don't let the early morning and evening catfish bites get away. Action will still be good even after the last 2000 pounds of catfish in the next couple of coming weeks.
Bluegill action has slowed down a bit. Try fishing Red worms near the piers and shallow weeded areas for the best action.
