The weather got better and so did the fishing. Marina and Mike Foreman of Portola and Legrande Foreman of Loyalton caught seven rainbow trout on Friday. They were at Frenchman’s Campground using nightcrawlers and white glitter powerbait. The fish were 12 to 15 inches long and weighed about one pound each.  Mike McKee of Loyalton caught his limit at Big Cove using nightcrawlers last Monday. The roads are good around the lake, but just be careful. We’ve had reports of fishermen taking small boats up to the lake and launching them.  (530) 993-4683
