River conditions between the North Fork Trinity and Lewiston are good. The rainy conditions are not so heavy that the tributaries are pumping loads of mud into the river. You will find the best conditions of the season right now. How's the fishing? The biggest steelhead of the season are roaming the river right now. Saw a couple over 10lbs this week and another 36" fish that could have been 13lbs.

Fly selection runs from small #16 flies to bigger #4 patterns. Egg patterns in shrimp pink, steelhead orange, champagne. The TB Solitude Stone should be tied to your rig all day. #12 Psycho Princes when water conditions are clear below Junction City. Use smaller flies in #14 or #16 up near Lewiston. These patterns can be suspended under indicators or swung.
