Fishing is fair to good from the shore or a boat for rainbow trout. The winds removed most or all of the ice. There are floating logs and debris on the reservoir, so use caution and move slowly in your boat. Bait seems to be working better than lures or flies -- especially from the shore. Try smaller, slow-moving presentations for rainbows and larger presentations for walleye. Most of the walleye are small, but you can help the fishery by taking them home. The reservoir is almost full.
