Conservation Officer T.J. Robertson checked anglers over the Memorial Day weekend. He described fishing as fair, depending on the person, their location on the reservoir and the baits they used. In general, T.J. said nightcrawlers, PowerBait and salmon eggs were the most popular baits. On the west side, anglers used more crawlers and salmon eggs, while in the dam cove, more people used chub meat and PowerBait. Orange was the most popular PowerBait color, although T.J. saw almost every color at the reservoir. He only checked one 14-inch rainbow and a few tiger trout, which were all below the slot. Most of the catch consisted of cutthroats from 12 to 14 inches. T.J. checked two cutts over 26 inches that were both caught with whole chubs.
