WInd slows, bite improves at LV

Wind has been down and anglers have been able to get out on the water on a consistent basis. Trout bite is good, with plentiful limits. Best spots are South Cove and Howden Cove. Catfish bite is good at Oak Point and near the Marina. Stripers are aggressive, but keepers rare. A 9.25 pound trout was caught by Victor Guid of San Jose using a Kastmaster in South Cove. An 8.1 pound trout was caught by Geof Hirimoto of Clarksburg using a lure in South Cove. (925) 371-2628
