The water temperature is 65 degrees. Striper: Medium Action: Strong flow from the Inlet has made this the Striper hang out, and can be caught on various types of bait: shad, anchovies, and chicken liver. Blue Gill: Medium to Slow Action: Blue Gill are starting to get active, must have lots of patience, try using red worms, wax worms, and Rapalas over near Launch Ramp 1 across from the Marina. Catfish: Slow Action: Not much action on Cats this past week, still to cold.
Try using chicken livers, anchovies, and garlic shrimp. Large Mouth: Medium Action: Some nice sizes are being caught this last week... Good action in all the coves, near reed. Try using white jigs and then move in with night crawlers, robo worms, and flukes. Trout: Slow Action: The last Trout plant of the season was on March 22, 2017. Trout have really slowed down but can still be caught using night crawlers and Power Bait over by Launch ramp 2.. Carp: High Action: Fun for the kiddo's to catch! Use your favorite carp dough balls, along the banks near Launch Ramp 1 at the peak.

Coves over by ramp 2 and can be caught on various types of bait: shad, white jigs, anchovies, chicken liver and mackerel. Lake SkinnerThe water temperature is 58-60 degrees, water level is up, visibility 2-3 Feet!! The weather has cooled down with the rain! Lots of bigger fish have been caught on plastics as well as slow tolled Rapalas. Fish are spread throughout the lake. Striper: Medium Action.. Some big schools of free swimming packs show up at random and can be fished with jerk baits, Rapalas, and Fly's trolled threw schools.. Striper have been from 3Lbs up to 15Lbs.
