The Trout stock last week has not been producing very many Trout but the Bass are definitely more active. Large Bass have been coming in on Swim Baits, Shiners, and Jigs out in deep water. Panfish are being caught in 15 to 20 feet of water in San Carlos Bay and Del Cerro Bay. The bait of choice ranges from Red Worms, Meal Worms to Hot Dog skins. There were no Catfish reported this week.

Trout was finally stocked on 12/21/17. Several large Bass were caught within hours of the Trout stock on large swim baits. The Bass are definitely back in feeding mode and nice fish are also being caught on drop shots, Shiners, and Crank Baits. Some Panfish have also been caught off the fishing pier this week with Cole Bolton pulling in 4 Bluegill with the largest weighing in at an impressive 2.8 pounds. ...... Read More

The Bass bite was hit and miss this week with weather fluctuations throwing off the usual routine. Anglers having success were getting hit in anywhere from 20 to 40 of water on drop shots, shiners and a few on crank baits. The Panfish have been elusive but some anglers are having success in 10 to 20 feet of water in both San Carlos Bay and Del Cerro Bay. No Catfish were reported this week. ...... Read More
