It is too early for steelhead and Spring  Chinook on the Molalla but not too early to watch fish passage data and the weather for an entry point. Use ODFW fish crossing information from Willamette Falls as an indicator of fish movement in the Molalla and Santiam systems. As of Feb. 19, neither species had crossed the falls into the upper Willamette.

USGS hydrological data for the Molalla as of Feb. 19 shows flows at 1,020 cfs, with a gauge measurement of 12.08 feet. All of the readings come from the Canby gauge.
