Flow Rates and Water Conditions:

Water Conditions: Good

Flows are at 148 cfs as of  12/11

Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Good

The fishing has been good on the Lower Owens now that the flows have dropped. Like everywhere else, this time of year midges are the primary hatch going but there are sporadic Baetis and Caddis midday. Try Pheasant Tail and Hare's Ear in different styles. Mornings have been more productive than afternoons so it's not a bad idea to be on the water by 9.

Recommended Flies

DRIES: Midge patterns but very little surface activity

NYMPH:  Pheasant Tail #14-22 | Hares Ear #16-22 | Zebra Midge #18-22
