Emergency regulations are in effect for Howard Prairie Reservoir. All size and daily, and possession limits are off for all game species. Water levels are extremely low at Howard, but two small unimproved boat ramps still remain usable for small vessels at this time. Folks should not park and block these access points. Rangers may ticket you.
Accessibility of these ramps will become more difficult through mid-summer. One is on the NW side of the Dam, the other is to the Northwest of the Howard Prairie Marina. The only campgrounds still open at Howard Prairie are those at the Marina.
Facilities at Howard Prairie are maintained by Jackson County. For more information, visit their website.
Bank fishing is possible, with social distancing precautions, near the dam and on the opposite bank of the Marina, off the 37 Road access.
