- Stocking: Another 1,000 lbs. will added to the lake the week of August 24th bringing the total to 4,000 lbs. this season.
- What's the catch? Another good Friday of night fishing! Nikki Snyder and Russell Bradley reeled in a 72 lb. 11 oz. blue catfish on a rental boat in Half Moon Cove. Anglers were catching catfish all over the lake, many leaving with limits! Biggest producing spots were Half Moon Cove, Shadow Cove, and Cloister Cove. The cats are biting on mackerel and chicken liver. Bass were being reeled in near Eagle Cove, the t-dock, and the old boat launch. Anglers were using Roboworms and Watermelon Senkos. Sentry Cove and Hermits Cove were hot spots for bluegill this past weekend. The best baits for panfish are wax worms and meal worms. Our rangers recommend using #8 or #10 J-hooks on 4 to 6 pound test for panfish.
- Friday Night Fishing: We are on a regular schedule now! Every Friday night from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. the lake will be open for night fishing. Full sized lanterns required after 8:00 p.m. Lake entrance gate closes at 10:00 p.m.
