Due to the Grizzly Creek Wildfire, all campgrounds and facilities are currently closed at Howard Prairie Lake. Fire crews are active in the area and Jackson County Parks and ODF are asking people to avoid the area.

Emergency regulations are still in effect for Howard Prairie Reservoir. All size and daily, and possession limits are off for all game species through the end of September. However, water levels are extremely low at Howard making all ramps unusable and an active fire in the area, ODFW also recommends other locations.

The reservoir is 8 percent full. This is the lowest that any current ODFW staff can remember seeing it.
