There have not been any recent reports, but trout fishing should be fair. This river is spring fed and can be fished year-round.

Ana River is a great match-the-hatch fly-fishing river with good hatches throughout the year. Hatches typically occur during the afternoon from 12-3 p.m. Small mayfly hatches are typically best on overcast days with light rain.

Tui chub and pit roach are abundant in the river therefore casting large flies or lures can be effective for catching larger fish. Bait fishing is allowed and anglers can keep 5 trout. Early this spring an angler caught a hybrid bass in the river, which happens occasionally.
