Dock Closes:

Last Plant: 750 lbs. of Channel Catfish Friday July 31st.

Next Plant:  TBD

Water temperature: At surface 59.00 f., 8.74 .O. @ 10' 59.36 f., 8.62 D.O.

Water Level: Low level, private watercraft currently banned.

 Due to reduced staffing, Lake Wohlford will be closed through the end of the year. We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to seeing you at the Lake next year.

Each month Whopper Contest winners in four categories are awarded a free fishing and boating permit. For information on the contest or fishing conditions, please contact the Ranger Station at (760) 839-4346.

Trout Season Begins in 2 Weeks

Trout season begins in two weeks on Saturday Dec. 12th. The Lake will be open seven days a week beginning on 12/12, but will be closed Christmas day. On November 18, 2020 Escondido’s City Council voted to update the Lakes & Open Space Division’s rental and user fees. New fees will take effect on December 1, 2020 and are available for viewing on the city website. Catfish can be found throughout the lake but are particularly active at the West Buoy Line.......
