The Truckee River still has really great spring flows and the fish are spread throughout the entire river. Anglers are starting to see some more summer hatches of pale morning duns and caddises, but still seeing some hatches of March browns and Blue Winged Olives on the overcast days. Streamer fishing has been good because of the higher flows. Try using small trout patterns or sculpin minnows for streamer fishing. Some recommended dry flies to try are tan elk hair caddis size 12, tan EC caddis size 16, Goddard Caddis size 14, AK Best March Browns, and the challenged PMD size 16. Some recommended nymphs are Pheasant Tail Size 14, Olive Burks Bottom Rollers Size 14, Crane Flies, and split case PMD size 16.

FLOWS: Tahoe City 535 CFS, Glenshire 640 CFS, Farad Exit 860 CFS
