A few anglers are catching some stripers. Fishing some bait off the bottom is usually a good tactic. Most anglers focus in the tidal portions of the rivers.
Trout season opened May 22.
The Smith sees only light pressure for most of the season and can provide a great experience for anglers looking to get away from the crowds.
