Fishing slowed a little bit this week but bass have been good in early morning, moving deep as soon as the sun comes out. The best has been best near the fishing docks. Bluegill are still biting on pieces of live worms. Just covering the hook. A few cats were caught on dough bait.

The bass are still biting in this warm weather in the middle of August. They are biting on the top water with crank baits and flicker shads. Splash the bait around on top and see what happens. The water and weather have been warm to make it a solid mid August bite. The bass have been shallow between 10 and 20 feet in the early mornings. Go deeper after 8PM using jerk and crank baits. The Texas and drop shot are working great with various robo’s. Try a Yamamoto weightless senko as well. Catfish have been reported off the docks and in the deeps. Cut baits working best. ......
