The lake held near 90 percent of capacity, and water temperatures fell into the mid to lower sixties. Striper and trout remained the best bet last week, and the bite was helped by the second trout plant of the season. Trout anglers filled stringers using dough bait, Mousetails, and nightcrawlers while striper anglers did well throwing the big trout imitation baits. Striper also ate cut sardines and anchovies in various locations around the lake. Bass anglers reported a slower week, but a few big bass came to the boat. Anglers used Senkos, Texas rigs and drop shot for bites, but the big bass wanted jigs and crankbaits in deeper water. Catfish ate dip bait, chicken liver, and cut sardines.
