Isabella dropped slightly to just below 9 percent capacity this week. The DFWL stocked trout here last week and the bite has been fair. Trout can be found with mice tails, trout worms, garlic scented Powerbait, pinched crawlers and spinners. Boaters have had some luck with needlefish, flicker-shad, and Thomas Bouyants. The bass bite has been fair and are holding in deeper water. Deep diving crankbaits, trout imitation swimbaits, and big worms with slower presentations have managed a few. The crappie action has slowed over the last couple weeks. They’ve been holding in deep water structure and have been going for live small/medium shiners and crappie jigs. Catfishing has been a little better with decent fish reported on frozen shad, cutbait and Triple S Dip Bait.
