Eagle Creek is a great option for anglers when the Clackamas River is high and dirty. Currently this system is low and clear, making fishing difficult. With no rain the ten-day forecast, conditions are not likely to change any time soon. Anglers would do best to focus their efforts on other systems, such as the Clackamas.

Bonnie Lure State Recreation Area has reopened but visitors are advised to watch for hazardous trees.

Keep in mind that long stretches of Eagle Creek do run through private property, particularly up near the hatchery and from an area below the lower ladder on down near Bonnie Lure to the mouth. Anglers are advised to pay close attention to where you fish and we encourage you to ask permission prior to accessing or crossing private lands on your way to your favorite fishing hole.
