The Crooked River has been fair. They adjusted the flows about ten days ago from 52 CFS to 200 and then back down to around 142 where it has sat consistently for about a week. This takes some getting used to on the fishes part and fishing should continue to improve as the fish find their new feeding lanes. Expect to see more dry fly action as spring progresses. BWO hatches are still happening some days and keep your eye out for caddis and skwalas as the weather warms. Nymphing will likely still be the most productive. We like zebra midges, Two bits, and a variety of CJ’s out there. The Crooked Canyon is a great place to spend a spring or summer day.
