The Metolius has been fishing well. Green Drake hatches starting mid afternoon are making for good dry fly opportunities. PMD’s and caddis are around as well so keep your eyes out for fish keying into these. Nymphing has been hot and like we have previously mentioned a golden stone nymph followed by 10-12” of tippet and a small caddis or mayfly pattern is a great way to go. Tightline and indicator methods have both been producing fish. Stripping or dead drifting large streamers is a good way to target bulls. The warmer weather we are starting to experience will intensify the hatch activity and offer good dry fly opportunities on most days.
Suggested Dries: Purple Haze #14-18, Hackle Stacker Baetis #18-20, Parachute Baetis #16-20, Tiltwing #18-20, Comparadun #16-22,
