The lake fell to 19 percent of capacity, and bass anglers reported good topwater fishing on weedless frogs and poppers. Most of the action has been near the submerged trees, but bass also went for topwater along shorelines in the mornings and evenings. Mid-day anglers scored bites with weightless Senkos, drop shot, and Ned rigs. The finesse bite has been slow, and a nearly “dead stick” approach seemed to get the best results. Catfish anglers used Triple S Dip Bait, cut baits, and chicken liver, and crappie ate small live minnows and minijigs near the marina.
