Road access to Ashurst Lake and campgrounds is open. Water clarity is good. Fishing has been slow, but folks have been having some luck using corn on the bottom and slowly trolling small lures from a boat. The lake level is low, but launching a small boat is possible. There are some large exposed boulders on the boat launch to watch out for. Only boats with a 10-horsepower motor or less are allowed on Ashurst Lake. Surface water temperature was 67.1 F, pH 8.27, D.O. 6.8 on 8/16/2022.
