You can fish the McCloud again, the visibility has improved quite a bit in the past week and fish are definitely eating again. Fish Rubberlegs, highstick them in water deep enough to hold fish. Try any small, dark flies and you will get fish to eat. Posse Buggers are also working and this makes sense as the October Caddis are making their final push prior to pupation. And we should see a great October Caddis hatch this year. The weather will be cooling off beginning on Saturday and this could be a great place to fish! PG&E and the Forest Service will be working on the road down to Ash Camp to fix the slide. Pedestrian access will be closed until they have finished which is projected to be some time in December.
