Bait anglers pulled in bigger striper with numerous reports of zebras up to 10 pounds. The jailbirds ate cut sardines, jumbo live minnows, and nightcrawlers after check gates. Striper also fell for jerkbaits, Flukes, and Rattletraps. The best time to fish has been in the early morning, but nighttime provided plenty of action for both striper and catfish. Catfish anglers used dip bait, cut anchovies, and chicken liver just about anywhere in the aqueduct to score good numbers of whisker fish with some quality fish in the mix. Bass anglers did well too, and the favored baits have been jigs, drop shot, and jerkbaits in slower moving sections of the aqueduct.
