Pyramid Lake remained at full pool, and water temperatures ranged from 70 to 74 degrees throughout the day. The algae bloom is fading fast, and the thick weed beds have died back significantly. The topwater bite has been good. Anglers used Luckycraft Gunfish and other walking baits to fool plenty of striper and bass until about 9am. After the topwater bite died anglers found biting bass on bluff walls and rocky structure near the dying weed beds. Drop shot, jigs, and weedless options in green pumpkin, black, and purple worked for bites. Striper and catfish picked up cut baits, chicken liver, and worms in the Marina. Anglers also found feeding striper near Serrano, Chumash Island, and Yellowbar.
