We will re-open for weekday use at the beginning of trout season in mid-December. We are closing a half an hour earlier due to the shorter days please adjust your plans accordingly.

Fall is a time of increased feeding for the catfish as they prepare for winter. Despite being open only on the weekends many of our big catfish catches take place at this time. Lake Wohlford cats prefer chicken liver, shrimp, or cut mackerel.

Crappie can be caught in the early mornings or late afternoons. They prefer some cover in which to hide. They are most often caught on mini- jigs or live golden shiners.

The bass lurk around structure. They respond to swimbaits, crankbaits, and dark colored plastics.
