The lake held at 93 percent of capacity and fishing has been solid. On Wednesday Pyramid received two truckloads for trout and the bite took off. Anglers reported limit style fishing with Powerbait, spinners and trout jigs. Many of the bass moved into deeper water, and anglers targeted them with jigs, finesse plastics, and deep diving crankbaits. Underspins have also been effective on the deeper bass. Striper anglers focused on soaking cut sardines in the Marina and near the dam. Expect big striper to fall for trout imitation baits since the trout season kicked into full gear this week. Trolling umbrella rigs has also been effective. Catfish fell for dip bait, cut baits, and chicken liver.
