The beginning of our trout season Saturday December 10th is five weeks away. We will re-open for weekday fishing at that time. Beginning on the Sunday Nov. 6th we will begin closing an hour earlier due to daylight savings time. In response to the shorter days for a limited time the ½ day boat prices will be offered beginning at noon instead of 1:00 p.m..

Fall is a time of increased feeding for the catfish. As they prepare for winter, they become more voracious and less discriminating. Despite being open only on the weekends many of our biggest catfish are caught during this time. Lake Wohlford cats prefer chicken liver, shrimp, or cut mackerel.

The Bass have been increasingly active patrolling the rocks and reed lines in search of prey. They are hitting swimbaits, spinnerbaits, and dark colored plastics.
