Trout fishing may be good on warmer days. Excess steelhead smolts were stocked into the lake earlier this year and should be ready to put up a good fight and be of legal size now. Try fishing for bass around aquatic vegetation in the mid-morning and late afternoon hours.
Beginning in 2016, Cooper has been stocked with coho and Chinook salmon juveniles. These are often mistaken for kokanee. Anglers may retain up to 5 salmon juveniles in the reservoir as part of their daily trout bag limit.
