Stocking: Catfish Opener is Memorial Day weekend where 1,500 pounds will be stocked. A total of 8,500 pounds of catfish will be stocked this season. With catfish season comes night fishing! The lake will be open on Friday and Saturday until midnight beginning May 26th.

What’s the Catch? The trout catch was good this weekend as expected! Although we’re done stocking trout, expect to catch trout as long as the water temps stay cool. The lake is starting to stratify, so fish for trout around 30 feet. The usual powerbait and nightcrawlers are working well. LOTS of bass caught this weekend in all sizes. Bass were biting from boats and shoreline. The t-dock, Shadow Cove and Siesta Point were active. Most anglers were using Robos and Senkos. The panfish bite was good in Half Moon and Eagle Coves. They can’t resist meal worms.

Conditions: The temperature around the boat dock is currently 64 degrees, but around 35 feet deep the temp drops to 59. The sun is rising at 6:06 a.m. and setting at 7:26 p.m. Bring sunscreen and drink lots of water this weekend. It’s gonna be a warm one! Check out the local forecast below.
