Stocking: The lake was stocked with 1,500 pounds of trout from Idaho last week. Join us for the very last trout stocking of the season! Another 1, 500 pounds will go into the lake the week of April 17th. Stay tuned for information regarding the catfish opener next month.

What’s the Catch? The trout stock yielded limits for many. The shoreline was the most active. Schools were reported in Hermit and Siesta Coves. Powerbait is still working for the stock. Finally, there were reports of catfish biting in Cloister Cove. We heard a report of at least one boat limiting out. As the water temps rise, the cats will become more active. Mackerel and chicken liver will usually encourage a bite. The large bass continue to bite along the shoreline and the Bluegill have also moved into the shallows as well. The bass bite has been consistent on Roboworms and Brush Hog. Bluegill love meal worms!

Conditions: The temperature around the boat is currently 64 degrees. The sun is rising at 6:24 a.m. and setting at 7:15 p.m. New Moon this month is April 19th. The forecast is looking sunny and warm this weekend. Check out the local forecast below.
