Holiday boat traffic made for tough fishing conditions, but anglers still caught plenty of fish last week. Largemouth took creature baits, Green Pumpkin stick baits, and plastic worms tight to the cattails. A few topwater bass were also reported from those same areas. Crappie anglers reported fish taking small live minnows and minijigs tipped with crappie nibbles. Bluegill ate redworms and mealworms under a bobber, and catfish picked up dip bait, and chicken liver.
