Isabella Lake increased this week to 85 percent of capacity as the inflows increased with shifts in weather and snow melt. Bass fishing is solid with numerous reports of good numbers being pulled. It’s been more of a numbers game than quality. Although there have been a few better models in the mix. Our contacts reported steady action with Senkos, deep diving crankbaits, chatterbaits and jigs. The Crappie action has been steady along the South Fork and in deeper offshore structure with live shiners and minijigs. Boaters trolling flicker shad have been scoring stringers of slabs. Catfish bite has been consistent with cut bait, SSS dip bait and live shiners. Our contacts reported limit style trout action from shore and offshore. Anglers reported limiting out with floating baits, spinnerbaits, and trout jigs. Boaters trolling leadcore with flicker shad and Tasmanian devils have been doing extremely well for trout with an occasional crappie.
