Lake of the Woods was stocked with 12-inch rainbow trout recently. Fishing should be fair for rainbow trout. For recent updates on fishing, you can call the resort at 1-866-201-4194.
The lake is dominated by stunted yellow perch. Very small bait and hooks will catch these fish. Yellow perch fishing should be excellent.
Fishing for warmwater fish is slowing as water temperatures drop. Surprisingly a few crappie are being caught from the lake. Bass fishing should be slow around all the wood and docks along the lake.
You can also visit Lake of the Wood's website to observe current conditions at the lake. Scroll down and click on the right side video link for a live video of current conditions on the lake at the Lodge.
