Stocking: Wright’s Rainbows stocked 2,500 pounds of rainbow trout the week of November 13th for the opener. Another 1,500 pounds will be stocked this week! We will stock trout every other week through April. Follow our Instagram feed for the most updated info regarding trout stocking.

What’s the Catch? Anglers were still hitting limits last weekend with the 3,200 pounds of trout stocked before the opener. They were hitting on powerbait and inflated nightcrawlers in Siesta and Hermit Coves. Our rangers recommend using red worms for trout because they’re smaller. The trout stock always brings out the big bass. The bass pictured below was caught on a swimbait. The Bluegill are in the shallows right now. Try dropping a lure just above the bottom and jigging your rod up and down. The movement will attract panfish. No reports of catfish last weekend.

Conditions: The water temperature is below 70 degrees. The district will begin to refill the lake next month. The sun is rising at 6:31 a.m. and setting at 4:42 p.m.
