Stocking: Another 1,500 pounds of Rainbow Trout from Idaho will be stocked this week. Ten percent of every stock is over 3 pounds. Our total stock for the season with this week’s addition is 9,900 pounds from Idaho and DFW. Follow our Instagram feed for the most updated info regarding trout stocking.

What’s the Catch? Although our trout plant was delayed, anglers were still reeling in trout from Hermit Cove and Cactus Patch. Inflated nightcrawlers and mini jigs were the ticket. This weekend, it was all about night fishing on Saturday! The catfish were most active from the shoreline just after sunset. Boats were catching them in Shadow and Sentry Coves after dark. Mackerel and dip baits were the most effective. The bass bite has been consistent all around the lake this season. Fishermen have been catching them on shiners.

Conditions: The water temperature is just under 65 degrees. The water column is well oxygenated and conditions are good for trout. The sun is rising at 6:50 a.m. and setting at 5:06 p.m.
