Stocking: This week is the LAST stocking of trout from Idaho for the season! Another 1,500 pounds will be in the lake this weekend bringing our total stock to 19,000 pounds. DFW also stocked 2,800 pounds of Rainbow Trout this year bringing our total stock to 21,800 pounds!

Stay tuned for information regarding Catfish Opener.

What’s the Catch? Trout was plentiful all over the lake last weekend. Trolling the channels with Rapalas yielded limits in a couple of hours. The shoreline was also active, but you’ll need to switch to  Powerbait, casting about 20 - 30 feet out. Trout will be deeper this time of year. The end of the t-dock is a good place to fish the main channel for trout. We had reports of sunfish biting on pieces of nightcrawler in Siesta Cove. Look for shallow structure like fallen trees. We expect the panfish bite to pick up closer to summer. No reports of bass or catfish last weekend.

Conditions: With the water draw, be aware of exposed and submerged structure while boating. See details about the lake draw below. The current water temperature is 64 degrees. The sun is rising at 6:15 a.m. and setting at 7:20 p.m. The next full moon is April 23rd.
