The lake rose to 70 percent of its storage capacity, and fishing has been steadily improving. Largemouth have started to spawn, but many fish remained offshore for their opportunity to lay eggs. Savvy anglers fished the 10 to 20 foot zone where rocky structure and deep water access met spawning flats. Some nice females were reported by those anglers while using spider jigs and creature baits. Smaller bass went after Senkos and drop shot Roboworms up shallow. Catfish anglers soaked their smelly offerings in deeper coves, and crappie were reported by anglers using minijigs tipped with crappie nibbles.
