Donner Lake is increasing in water capacity, so anglers can start fishing from the public docks. With the shore snow-free and the boat ramp open, anglers can access all areas of the lake to fish. Anglers trolling for lake trout are having success using large plugs and spoons. Powerbait and night crawlers are the recommended bait choices for shore anglers. Donner Lake is currently at 75% capacity.
