At Stampede, anglers are finding success fishing for kokanee in 70 feet of water near the island on purple and orange lures. Anglers are recommended right now to do slower trolling at 1 mph in 180 feet of water and about 65 feet down for good results. Fish up to 15 inches are being caught. With us moving into fall conditions, the kokanee bite will last a few more weeks, so get after it while it’s hot! Shore anglers looking for trout at Stampede will find a nice bite off the dam using various lures or live worms. Stampede Reservoir is at 84% capacity.
