Thief Valley has drained completely and is only 2 percent full. Trout usually die after the reservoir drains so fishing will probably be slow until later in the year when the reservoir is restocked. With the low water and warm weather, there has been a blue-green algae bloom at Thief Valley Reservoir that has increased to potentially unsafe levels.
