Isabella dropped to 35 percent of capacity and continues to release water. Our sources reported limit-style trout fishing near the North Fork using floating baits. They are also trolling Tasmanian Devils, Needlefish and Flicker shad near the dam with great results. Bass fishing remains solid. Bass have been coming on Whopper Ploppers, Buzzbaits, Poppers, Crankbaits, Texas Rigs and Jigs. The bite is best early in the morning and then fades some until late afternoon. The crappie bite is decent in 15 to 20-feet of water near offshore structure and Red’s Marina. Crappie have been coming on live shiners and minijigs with nibbles. The Catfish bite improved this week with good reports near the Dam and Camp 9. Whiskerfish have been caught with SSS Dip Bait, shad, and mackerel. Additionally, we had reports of catfish coming as a bycatch from anglers targeting trout with floating trout baits.
