Anglers had to work a little for bites last week, and many anglers reported moving from spot to spot until they found biting fish. Bait soakers caught plenty of striper and catfish. The baits of choice were dip bait, chicken liver, cut sardines, and jumbo live minnows. Lure anglers fooled the zebras with Flukes on a jig head, jerkbaits, and paddle tail shad imitation swimbaits. Bass anglers did well on drop shot grubs, Senkos, and topwater lures early and late in the day.
