Nacimiento held at 55 percent of its storage capacity, and fishing has been excellent for spotted bass and largemouth bass. Cope’s held their annual Customer Appreciation tournament, and all who attended had a great time. The winning bag came in with more than 12 pounds of fish. Bass anglers found biting fish in 5 to 25 feet of water near the Narrows and Las Tablas with drop shot, small football head jigs, and shaky heads. Hologram Shad, dark green, and Morning Dawn all got bit. Keitechs, underspins, crankbaits, and topwater were good choices for suspended fish earlier in the day. Jerkbaits took plenty of bass as well. Crappie went after Flicker Shad and small live minnows, and catfish anglers caught fish with cut anchovies and dip bait.
