The Wilson River has fall Chinook throughout the fishery (up to Jordan Creek). The river is a little high as of this writing but if predictions are correct, it should be fishable this weekend.
The adult wild Chinook daily bag limit for all Tillamook Rivers (Tillamook River and Bay, Kilchis River, Miami River, Wison River, and Trask River) is one fish in aggregate. No more than two adult wild Chinook salmon may be retained for the period in aggregate. See the regulation updates for more details.
ODFW is conducting a mark-recapture study in the Wilson basin this fall. Anglers are asked to keep an eye out for an opercle punch (a small round hole in the gill cover) on Chinook that they catch, and if you see one, please let us know by calling (503) 842-2741 extension 18614. Thank you!
Cutthroat trout fishing closed in the North Coast rivers and streams on Nov. 1.
