Fishing was fair for all species except catfish. Whisker fish slurped up dip baits, cut baits, and chicken liver on bait rigs, three way rigs, and Carolina rigs. The best places to soak baits were after check gates, near outtake grates, and along inside bends. Striped bass have been hit or miss for most anglers. Anglers who moved from gate to gate reported connecting with biting fish while using cut baits, lugworms, and jumbo live minnows. Largemouth took finesses baits in the eddies before and after check gates. Rattle traps and A-rigs have been effective for anglers willing to walk the aqueduct.
